Apples Picking

Published by cherrylemonade at 11:02 am under Uncategorized Edit This

A friend of mine constantly mentions how she loves Fall. While she’s never gone far enough to say that it is her favorite season, she does always say it when surrounded by “Fall” scented candles or room splashes. I myself take issue with Fall because it is the precursor to Winter, however if it stood alone, I could see why she constantly says it.

The smell of spiced apple or warm pumpkin is definitely one that most people find enjoyable, but better than a candle; in my opinion, is the real thing. If you haven’t gone apple picking, or haven’t in a while, you really are missing out on something special. It is a nice afternoon spend with loved ones where even the most city dwelling of us, can have time alone with nature. Plus, the added benefits are that the apples are cheaper than at a store, you know they are fresh, and buying locally is good for the economy. Also when you are done, you get to bake homemade goodies like Apple pies, apple fritters, apple dumplings, whatever fits your taste.
