huh?

Published by cherrylemonade at 2:25 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

How many people read my blog? It sounds conceited doesn’t it? But seriously I have to wonder how many people read this blog because I’ve just been informed that my pay per post has been changed to $2 per 1000 readers.

The laughable part is this announcement comes after I write about how money is getting tighter in my house and now there is even less of it. Well at least it would be laughable if I didn’t feel so desperate.

I suppose I’ll know soon enough if I have 1000 or more viewers if I make any money after this month.

I had both of my blogs changed to not pay per post anymore. Many people are having the same issue. I used to use my blogging money to help with groceries now, I can’t.

Think of it as a positive. They like your writing and want to give you incentive to get more viewers. I had both of my blogs change as well. Just as I was hoping to write enough that I’d get paid in February and use the money towards my daughters 1st birthday. We have NO income coming in except through my two blogs and working at chacha.com so I do my best to write as often as I can. I feel punished but I’m going to work my butt off and try and get enough visitors. The more visitors you get to your site the better because they get paid via ads, so if you write a whole bunch but don’t have a lot of visitors then they are losing money. Try linkreferral.com and posting in places like myspace or other forums. Ask your friends to post to their friends.

If you go to your account and check “traffic” you will see how visitors (unique and total) your blog is getting.

    I read your blog…

Are you a VIP blog? If so you can look at VIP statistics on your start page and see specifically how many people are looking at it. There are also several widgets that keep track of this sort of thing that you could add. Shoot me an e-mail if you need some help getting set up with those.

    Cheers
